Who Will Rock the UK in 2025? Coldplay, Beyoncé & More Expected to Hit the Road

What do Oasis, Usher, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Dua Lipa, Imagine Dragons, and Snow Patrol have in common? They’re all confirmed to play gigs in London and other major UK cities next year.

Just this week, Teddy Swims joined the star-studded lineup, announcing a UK and European tour for 2025, kicking off in Germany in February and wrapping up in Ireland in March.

But who’s next to join the list? The odds on Oasis' unexpected reunion announcement suggest that almost anything can happen in music, much to the delight of UK-based fans.

Coldplay and Beyonce Live in 2025?

Coldplay are the latest huge band to drop massive hints they are to play in the UK in 2025. The Yellow hitmakers have teased the possibility of playing two stadium shows in support of the Music Venue Trust. Just this week, posters from Coldplay's first-ever live headline gig at The Dublin Castle pub in London's Camden Town, back when the group were known as The Coldplay, appeared at the establishment.

And there were handwritten notes added onto the posters, appearing to confirm concerts at Craven Park in Hull and London’s Wembley Stadium in August next year. The notes also stated that Music Venue Trust, which supports grassroots venues and up-and-coming artists, will benefit from 10 percent of the money raised from the shows. What's more, the posters revealed the shows will be 100 percent solar, wind, and kinetically powered.

As a result, Coldplay are just 1/10 to play UK shows next year, in support of their upcoming album Moon Music, and another huge music act looks set to be joining them on British soil.

Who Could Play Gigs On UK Soil In 2025

Beyonce is just 4/9 to perform in the UK in 2025, following recent speculation. According to The Sun newspaper, insiders in the US claimed the pop megastar is gearing up to play five dates at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium—where she performed last year as part of her Renaissance World Tour—to celebrate her recent number one album, Cowboy Carter.

A music source told the publication: "Beyoncé is about to raise the roof. The demand for tickets will be just like Oasis' and will rival fans' rush to get their hands on a seat. 2025 is going to be an incredible year for live music."

What's more, the publication also reported that Ariana Grande (4/6) and Shakira (1/1) could announce 2025 UK shows in the near future.

Linkin Park’s Comeback in the End

One group who have already announced UK shows, but for this year, is Linkin Park.

Earlier this month, the In The End band announced a comeback after previously being on a hiatus following the tragic death of their frontman Chester Bennington, who took his own life aged 41 in 2017. But the band has now appointed former Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong on vocals, and Colin Brittain has replaced Rob Bourdon on drums in a new-look lineup.

Amid their comeback announcement, the Numb hitmakers revealed a new album, From Zero, which will be released on November 15th, and a short world tour, which is already underway.

Linkin Park opened their From Zero run of gigs with a show in Los Angeles on September 11th, and they will also play in Germany on September 22nd, before heading to London's The O2 on September 24, which will be followed by shows in South Korea and Colombia.

Following their recent comeback and current tour, Linkin Park are just 11/8 to add to their upcoming shows and announce UK gigs for 2025.

If Oasis' reunion wasn't enough, indie fans might soon be doubly excited after several supporters speculated about the possibility of Pulp releasing a new studio album, which would be their first for 23 years since We Love Life.

It comes after eagle-eyed fans on social media registered that Pulp have played five new songs in the past year on their US reunion tour, fuelling rumours that a new album might be in the works. If the Common People hitmakers oblige, then it wouldn't be a surprise to see them support the record with some UK gigs next year.

They have already booked to play in Japan in 2025, and it's 2/1; they add some UK dates, too.

JT's UK Return?

Other big bands who could play in the UK next year include *NSYNC. The Tearin' Up My Heart hitmakers are just 3/1 to hit the road in Britain in 2025 amid strong rumours they could reunite with former frontman Justin Timberlake.

Another group who have also been the subject of reform rumours include Radiohead, who haven't toured together since 2018 and released their last album together in 2016. The latest speculation comes after their bassist Colin Greenwood confirmed they had been back in the rehearsal room.

Speaking via video call at the Hay Festival Querétaro in Mexico, Greenwood said: "We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs. And it was really fun; we had a really good time."

Radiohead are 5/1 to fully get back together and head on tour in the UK next year, while it's 10/1 that pop megastars The Spice Girls do the same.

There has been plenty of speculation that Spice Girls could be among the contenders to headline Glastonbury next year, and Mel C even added some fuel to the fire recently. Sporty Spice admitted she would love "nothing more" than to reunite with the girls and perform on the Pyramid Stage. Speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio X, she said, "I think the absolute ultimate would be to do it with the Spice Girls. There’s nothing I would like more."

Could Spice Girls go one better and announce a UK reunion tour for next year, a la Oasis? It would no doubt create a similar ticket frenzy if it were to happen.

Another reunion that appears unlikely to take place is the return of The Smiths. Morrissey once infamously said he would rather "eat his own testicles" than perform with the band again, but in August the frontman said he had accepted a tour offer for 2025 but claimed bandmate Johnny Marr had "ignored it."

The singer said on his Morrissey Central website: "In June 2024, AEG Entertainment Group made a lucrative offer to both Morrissey and Marr to tour worldwide as The Smiths throughout 2025.

"Morrissey said yes to the offer; Marr ignored the offer." reads the Morrissey Central website post.

The Smiths haven't played together since a show at London’s Brixton Academy on December 12th, 1986, nearly 38 years ago.

If they did do the unthinkable and reunite anytime soon, then Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now hitmakers would surely find the time for a UK show or two, but it's 33/1 they play a UK gig in 2025.
