Traveling with pets isn’t a new trend, and it continues to grow. Casino destinations are increasingly accommodating of this trend, and a 2019 survey showed that about 77% of vacationers brought their pets on vacation.

That number increased slightly in 2022. A report by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) said around 79% of Americans travel with their dogs for vacation. The 2002 report also touted continuing improvements in pet-friendly accommodations for the past 20 years.

akfxoqsd.shop contacted APPA for additional information and the organization shared that last year 88% of dog owners traveled with their pets in the car during the past year. Further, 68% of dog owners have traveled by plane.

Las Vegas isn’t the kind of city that misses out on popular travel trends. There are plenty of Vegas Strip hotels that allow guests to bring pets...err, dogs. The “pet-friendly” rooms on the Vegas Strip are only for dogs. No cats, birds, or any other animals are allowed to stay in these rooms.

While there are plenty of hotels that offer dog-friendly rooms, the number changes every few years. In mid-2021, Wynn introduced a pet-friendly initiative in its Encore Tower hotel rooms. Today, pets are no longer allowed anywhere on the property.

Vegas Strip Casinos Hotels That Allow Pets to Stay In Their Rooms

The good news for visitors is that the majority of hotel rooms on the Vegas Strip are pet-friendly. Unfortunately, the cost of bringing a pup or two for a Vegas vacation can be a bit high.

Here’s a breakdown of the Vegas Strip casinos and hotels that allow pets and how much it will cost per night. Since the majority of Vegas Strip casinos are operated by two companies, the offerings are similar for many properties.

1. Caesars PetStay Hotel Rooms

Caesars Las Vegas hotels have designated PetStay hotel rooms. These are dog-friendly rooms that are usually only available for guests who bring their pets to Las Vegas. Guests without pets don't stay in these rooms.

While dogs are allowed in these rooms, they must be in a crate or kennel when the guest leaves the hotel room. They must also be in a crate or kennel if a guest is in the room when housekeeping arrives. Each hotel will rent guests a crate or kennel for an additional fee.

Each PetStay room has a welcome packet with directions to outdoor relief areas and dog-walking routes. Caesars also offers in-room mats and dishes. Check-in time for PetStay rooms is 4 pm. Dogs are allowed to walk through certain common areas while on a leash and accompanied by the owner for anyone who arrives early.

Caesars Las Vegas PetStay Hotel Room Fees

Caesars Palace, Flamingo, The Cromwell, Harrah’s, and The Linq: Each of these casinos allows up to two dogs who weigh 50 pounds or less. The additional fee is $100 per night plus a refundable nightly $100 incidental deposit.

Horseshoe and Planet Hollywood: Both of these casinos allow up to two dogs who are 50 pounds or less. The additional fee is $75 per night plus a refundable nightly $100 incidental deposit.

Paris allows up to two dogs who are 50 pounds or less. The additional fee is $85 per night plus a refundable nightly $100 incidental deposit.

Horseshoe seems to be the best value. In addition to the lowest price, there's ample outdoor space at the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of the casino.

2. MGM Resorts Dog-Friendly Hotel Rooms

MGM Resorts offers dog-friendly rooms at most of its Las Vegas hotels. While two dogs up to 100 pounds total are allowed in each room, there will be an additional fee for a second pup.

Dogs are only permitted in hotel rooms and the outdoor dog park at MGM Resorts properties. The casino floors are not dog-friendly unless it’s a service animal.

All dogs must be on a leash when walking through the casino to use the dog park facilities. Dogs cannot be left unattended in a hotel room unless they are in a kennel or carrier.

Should a guest need it, MGM Resorts sells a Buddy Box with three treats, two toys, and a bandana for $29.99.

The hotel’s concierge can arrange a dog sitter or dog walker by an outside vendor for an additional fee. The hotel can also have a person check on a dog while guests are out enjoying Las Vegas for a fee of $25 for 10 minutes. They’ll text guests with updates from the check-in.

MGM Resorts Las Vegas Dog-Friendly Hotel Room Fees

Aria (and Vdara), Bellagio, Delano (at Mandalay Bay): The fee at each of these hotels is $150 per night, per dog, plus tax.

Cosmopolitan, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Park MGM: The fee at these hotels is $100 per night, per dog, plus tax. Note that the fee for Mandalay Bay is less than the Delano Tower at the same property. The Signature at MGM Grand does not allow pets.

Excalibur, Luxor, New York-New York: These three properties are the least expensive on the Vegas Strip with a fee of $50 per night, per dog, plus tax.

New York-New York might be the best option for dog owners in Las Vegas. The hotel is connected to The Park. This offers additional outdoor space for guests to grab a drink or bite and sit with their pup outdoors.

3. Resorts World Las Vegas Dog-Friendly Hotel Rooms

Resorts World allows up to two dogs per hotel room. Combined, their total weight must be less than 40 pounds. This is the lowest combined weight for any dog-friendly hotel room on the Vegas Strip.

The fee is $150 per day for anyone staying with their pups. There will be additional charges for damage or if a deep cleaning is needed after the stay. Dogs must be in a kennel or carrier if the guest leaves the room. Housekeeping will not service a room unless the dog is in a kennel or carrier.

Dogs are not allowed in public areas of the casino. Guests can walk their dogs through the property on a leash to use the dog relief area to the left of the main entrance. The hotel provides waste disposal dispensers in this area.

Pets Not Allowed In These Vegas Strip Casinos

While the majority of Vegas Strip casino hotels allow furry friends, many aren’t so pet-friendly. The following casinos don’t allow pets who aren’t service animals:

Circus Circus only allows pets to stay if they’re with guests in the RV park. Service animals are allowed inside the property.
