Now that we’ve said goodbye to Tropicana it’s time to look forward to the future of one of the busiest corners in Las Vegas. Bally’s Corp. recently submitted plans to Clark County for an integrated resort it would like to build on the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

If all goes as planned, Bally’s integrated resort will surround a Major League Baseball stadium for the Oakland A’s who plan to move to Las Vegas for the 2028 season. We're going to focus on the casino and hotel today but one neat feature planned for the stadium would be a gate specifically for guests at the hotel.

Bally’s plans to build the new property in three phases. The first phase of construction will include everything visitors expect at a Vegas Strip casino, a baseball stadium, and more. Phases two and three would each include a new hotel tower and pool.

“We’re excited to get started,” Bally’s chairman Soo Kim told akfxoqsd.shop. “We still need to make some determinations about what's included in the first phase, but that won’t hold us back.”

If all goes according to plan, the new Bally’s Las Vegas will somehow fit three hotel towers, a casino with all the bells and whistles, and a baseball stadium that occupies nine of 35 acres. Construction is slated to begin during the first half of next year.

Bally’s Las Vegas Casino Floor

The casino being planned for Bally’s Las Vegas should be around 100,000 square feet. For comparison, that’s smaller than nearby MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay but larger than Excalibur and Luxor, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Most of the casino floor would be dedicated to slot machines. About 1,300 slot machines will occupy 60,000 of the main casino floor. There will be another 120 high-limit slot machines spread over 6,000 square feet.

Lastly, there will be just under 100 bartop gaming machines spread out around the casino. Plans call for four casino bars, one of which will be in the high-limit room.

The main pit will have 56 table games and occupy 12,000 square feet. There will be an 11-table “Asian Gaming” pit. The high-limit room will have just eight table games.

The 12,000-square-foot sportsbook will also have a 100-seat bar and a 75-seat restaurant will occupy another 11,000 square feet. For comparison, this sportsbook should be around 20% larger than Mandalay Bay and Aria.

Last but certainly not least, Bally’s Las Vegas plans to include a 16-table poker room. This is somewhat of a surprise since some recent casinos have opened without a poker room. There are currently only .

The Rest of Bally’s Resort Phase 1 Plan

The casino is just one part of Bally’s "integrated resort" plans. An integrated resort is what most people expect from a Las Vegas casino. The property will include a hotel, casino, retail, club, spa, bars, restaurants, conference space, and clubs.

“Bally’s World of Sports is one of the working potential themes,” Kim said. “But we’re not sure exactly what direction we’re going to go. It’s still a little too early to determine that.”

The first phase calls for 1,200 base hotel rooms at 510 square feet each. Bally’s plans to have 294 suites in four different sizes from 765 square feet to 2,000 square feet. The hotel lobby will have its own bar and lounge.

The fitness room will occupy 5,000 square feet while the spa and salon will be 20,000 square feet combined.

There will be multiple pools and a 75-seat food and beverage outlet spread out over 105,000 square feet by the hotel tower. More outdoor will be near MGM Grand and will include 22,500 square feet for a dayclub, “unique entertainment,” and bar/restaurant.

Surprisingly Bally’s isn’t planning many dining options. There will be a food hall, a steakhouse, and two other restaurants.

Nearly 100,000 square feet of space will be allocated for ballrooms and meeting rooms. A quarter of this space will be a meeting space on a terrace.

Phase 2 and 3 Plans

The second and third phases of Bally's Las Vegas would each include smaller hotel towers. At this time the second hotel tower would add another 1,000 rooms of similar size to the initial building.

The third phase looks as though it will be a high-end hotel tower with only 500 rooms. The smallest room would be a 650-square-foot studio. The largest suites will have two bedrooms and check in at just over 1,000 feet.

Both towers will have their own pools and meeting space. Neither tower will have its own casinos, bars, or restaurants.

“It’s such a great location,” Kim says. “For people driving in from California, the stadium and our resort will be the first thing they see. People that fly in, it will be the first thing they see. With so much going on all around us, the energy just builds as you get closer and closer.”
