Hello, dear readers, and welcome once again to another Merkur Gaming slot review. If you are a fan of this software company, then may I directly advise you to see a shrink immediately. If you have no idea who Merkur is and why their games are so bad, then I’d advise right now to cease reading this slot review and seek out a better game.
In this review of Flames of Egypt, I will discuss the lack of software performance, the 90-like graphics, and what little in-game features appear. If, by some chance, this game captivates you like the urge to stick your finger in a fan, then you’ll be glad to know a free demo is provided for you to try.
If you like playing the demo game so much, then I will tell you now that I haven’t got a clue which online casino is sane enough to support such games as real money slots. However, akfxoqsd.shop review only the best real money casinos, so it will be a case of making do with the fact that only crap casinos provide Merkur games.
The Flames of Egypt casino slot game is another homage to the era of Great Egypt. A time when houses were triangular, rivers were red, and pharaohs were wearing McQueen before McQueen ever existed.
Now, by looking at this game, you would assume that this came out somewhere between 1999 and 2009. You would, however, be wrong. Try not to faint when I reveal that Flames of Egypt was only released in 2019. This is what Merkur does. All their games look decades old and, frankly, play the same way as well.
The slot layout comes with a 3-row, 5-reel, and 20 paylines on the grid. When the game loads, the payline patterns are instantly overlaid on the grid for you to see how to form a win. To be fair, it’s like looking at an underground rail map that makes no sense.
The symbols of the game feature the classic characters you would expect. You have the gods Ra and Set, there is the Eye of Horus, a Pharoah, and a cross, which all make up the high-prized symbols. The low ones are the 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols.
The scarab beetle symbol is the slot’s scatter or bonus symbol. It should be noted that the Pharoah symbol also acts as the game’s Wild symbol.
I don’t like to be mean, but when it comes to player interests, there are far better games on the market to put your money in.
Flames of Egypt is as basic as a slot machine comes. When you load Flames of Egypt, be it in its free demo mode or as a real money casino game, the first thing you do is check the default bet price, which is the single cost of a spin. By selecting the coin stack icon button, you can change the default price per spin to suit your budget. When you have set the limit, you start spinning the reels by pressing the green play button. The auto play button is next to this, which plays unlimited auto spins.
Wins are made by matching the same symbols across one or more of the game’s paylines. You need to match three or more of the same symbols to produce a win. However, the Pharoah, Ra, and Set symbols can produce wins just by landing two symbols on a payline.
The Flames of Egypt slot game by Merkur Gaming is so basic that there is only one bonus feature. If you land three scatter symbols, then you will unlock ten free spins that are played in the bonus round.
Is there more to this? Well, surprisingly, yes. The Superspin feature is triggered after a win. This feature keeps the winning symbols on the slot for the next spin. All other symbols will spin, and it gives you a further chance to boost a return. During the free spins bonus round, further free spins can be won by landing three or more scatter bonus symbols.
To be fair, there is another feature on the game, but it’s one that opens up a new side game. The Gamble feature is available as an optional side game after every win that is made (note: the feature is inactive when you play in autoplay mode). You can gamble your winnings by playing a very simple card game. This feature is exactly what makes this game old-school. This was a huge feature 20 years ago, but Merkur refuses to shake it from their games.
My experiences with Merkur games tend to be brief. This way, I avoid death by boredom. I’ve said this many times across many Merkur reviews: their games come with zero substance and look terrible. I don’t like to be mean, but when it comes to player interests, there are far better games on the market to put your money in.
As with every Merkur game I review, I set my betting limit, selected the autoplay, and left the room. As I couldn’t set the number of spins I wanted to play, I just gave the game 10 minutes, and I returned. At this time, I didn’t land any bonus feature, but I was up on my demo fun coin balance. Yes, damned if I was going to play this game with real money.
Flames of Egypt comes with an RTP score that is 96.47%. The volatility setting is set to high, which adds to the boredom of playing this game. When high-volatility programming appears in a game, it becomes a costly and dull experience.
The maximum payout of this game is 5,000 times the value you pay to spin. So, the more you gamble, the greater the potential return will be. Given the max you can spend on a spin is $10, this makes the jackpot $50,000.
As a casino game, it’s not great. If you compare this to any other casino slot released in 2019, it falls well short of the standards you’d expect. It’s a bit sad when a developer shows no evolution in their games and ideas.
Sure, the game is fairly good value for money. At a max bet of $10 and the chance to win $50,000, it’s pretty good. The problem with this is the high volatility, which makes it harder to win.
If you want my advice, there are better and bigger games in the market. They will offer more entertainment and more bang for your buck. Check out these titles, which you can play for free, and find real money slots inside the top casino sites: Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead by Play’n GO, Legacy of Dead by Play’n GO, and Eye of Horus by Blueprint Gaming.

Read Full BioThe Flames of Egypt is a slot game released by Merkur Gaming. I find this software developer to be well behind the times, and I really do not like any of their games. If you are somehow a fan, then here are some alternative titles made by them: Kong’s Temple, Ghost Slider, and Snow Wolf Supreme.
You can play Flames of Egypt as a free slot demo within this review. The game will play on any iOS or Android device. There are no downloads needed, and you won’t need to register to play the game. You can try to enjoy the free demo as many times as you like.
To be honest, there are not going to be too many casinos online that will provide this game. Merkur is a relatively small developer that was, for some reason, bought by Blueprint Gaming’s management company. My advice would be to read the casino reviews at akfxoqsd.shop and see if any meet your requirements.
Flames of Egypt came out on September 26, 2019, though the game really does look older and comes with terrible sound and graphics. This is, however, what 99% of Merkur games look like. They pay a lot of attention to making nostalgic-type games. They very much have this feel and look of old slot cabinets.
Flames of Egypt does come with a free spins bonus round. If you land three scatter symbols, you will be awarded ten free spins. During this round, a Superspins feature triggers after a win. All winning symbols remain frozen for another spin. You can also retrigger more free spins.
The Return to Player rating of Flames of Egypt is 96.47%. This is an average RTP score, which merely represents a theoretical calculation of what money can probably be won back. This is based on how many spins you play and at what price you spin the reels.
