Who'll Triumph In The Big 4 Categories At The 2025 Grammy Awards? Latest Odds

Beyonce made Grammy Awards history earlier this month, three months ahead of the 2025 edition. The pop megastar became the most-nominated artist in the history of the spectacle, with a staggering 99 nominations, and she has now overtaken her husband Jay-Z, who is stuck on 88.

Beyonce, who has won 32 Grammys, leads the nominations for the 2025 event with 11, after receiving nods in three of the four big categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Post Malone, and Kendrick Lamar all received seven nods apiece, while Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan earned six each ahead of the spectacle at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena on February 2nd.

Roan and Carpenter have both had fantastic years, while the likes of Swift and Beyonce have been there and done it all before as far as the Grammy is concerned.

But who will triumph in the top categories?

99 Nods But She's Missing 1 Album Of The Year Win

She's got 99 nominations, but an Album of the Year win is really what Beyonce is after. The star's husband, Jay Z, hit out at the Grammys at this year's ceremony for snubbing his wife in the Album of the Year category.

Grammy Awards: Album Of The Year Outright Odds

Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department

10/11

Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft

2/1

Beyoncé - Cowboy Carter

3/1

Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess

7/2

Sabrina Carpenter - Short n’ Sweet

4/1

Charli XCX - Brat

6/1

André 3000 - New Blue Sun

8/1

Jacob Collier - Djesse Vol 4

10/1

The 99 Problems hitmaker was making an acceptance speech after winning the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award when he looked at his significant other and said, "I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year.

"So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work."

However, it may not work this year either.

While Beyonce is nominated for the Album of the Year accolade for country record Cowboy Carter, she is 3/1 to scoop the award. Like Beyonce, Swift is another pop star who is no stranger to making and breaking Grammys records.

Swift made history at the Grammys this year when she scooped Album of the Year for Midnights. It was her fourth win in the category—more than any other performer—and she made more Grammy history on November 8th, when the 2025 nominations were announced.

The pop megastar became the first woman ever to receive an Album of the Year nod seven times, overtaking legendary singer Barbra Streisand, whom she had previously tied with. Taylor could set another record in February by landing her fifth Album of the Year prize for The Tortured Poets Department, and she is the 10/11 favourite to do so.

The record topped the Billboard 200 chart for 15 weeks, longer than her previous albums, and it's going to be tough to beat.

As well as Beyonce, Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft (2/1), Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (7/2), Carpenter's Short n' Sweet (4/1), and XCX's Brat (6/1) look set to provide the toughest competition.

Beyonce Could Break Record Duck

Beyonce is also up for Record of the Year, earning her ninth nod in the category and extending her record for the most nominations in the category in Grammy Awards' history. However, Jay-Z should probably skip the next bit before his 99 Problems reach 100. Despite all of Beyonce's Record of the Year nominations, she is yet to have won the prize.

Grammy Awards: Record Of The Year Outright Odds

Beyoncé - Texas Hold ’Em

13/8

Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso

7/4

Billie Eilish - Birds of a Feather

3/1

Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!

7/2

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us

4/1

Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone - Fortnight

5/1

The Beatles - Now and Then

8/1

Charli XCX - 360

10/1

But could 2025 Bey her year?

It's time for Jay-Z to resume reading, because Beyonce is the 13/8 favourite to scoop the Record of the Year prize next year, ahead of the likes of Carpenter (7/4) and Eilish (3/1).

Carpenter beat off competition from Beyonce, Eilish, and Roan for Best Song at the EMAs on November 10th, but Beyonce could wreak her revenge at the Grammys. Swift, Eilish, and Cyrus all did battle for this year's Record of the Year gong, with the latter taking home the prize for her hit tune Flowers.

While Swift and Eilish won't have to contend with Cyrus next year, it looks like they could still miss out. Eilish has a nod for Birds of a Feather, earning the star her fifth nomination in the category and making her the first artist in the history of the ceremony to earn five Record of the Year nominations before she turns 23 in December.

Elsewhere in the category, it was a surprise to see iconic British band The Beatles nominated for their "last song," Now and Then, and it was an even bigger shock that Ariana Grande's We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love) was snubbed.

Swift To Bey(once) Empty Handed

The Song of the Year category differs from Record of the Year in that it celebrates songwriters rather than artists. Swift is still yet to win a Song of the Year Grammy, despite being nominated in the category more than anyone else.

Before this year's ceremony, she held the unwanted record as the most nominated to never win Song of the Year at the spectacle, and she missed out again, with the prize going to Eilish and her brother Finneas for What Was I Made For?.

Eilish (2/1) and Swift (9/4) look set to provide the most competition to Beyonce for the Song of the Year prize at the 2025 spectacle. But Beyonce, who has history in the category after scooping the accolade in 2009 for her tune Single Ladies, is the 7/4 favourite.

Grammy Awards: Song Of The Year Outright Odds

Beyoncé - Texas Hold ’Em

7/4

Billie Eilish - Birds of a Feather

2/1

Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone - Fortnight

9/4

Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!

3/1

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us

4/1

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars - Die With a Smile

5/1

Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please

7/1

Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy)

8/1

What's more, it wouldn't be a surprise if Roan, who is 3/1, scooped the gong for Good Luck, Babe!, or Super Bowl 2025 headliner Kendrick Lamar (4/1), for his Drake diss track, Not Like Us.

Carpenter vs Roan For Best New Artist

While Carpenter and Roan look set to be pipped to the post by the likes of Beyonce and Swift for three of the big four awards—they won't have to deal with such experienced heads in the Best New Artist category—and trends are on their side.

Grammy Awards: Best New Artist Outright Odds

Sabrina Carpenter

2/1

Chappell Roan

9/4

Benson Boone

5/2

Teddy Swims

3/1

Shaboozey

4/1

Raye

6/1

Doechii

8/1

Khruangbin

10/1

The past seven Best New Artist winners have been female solo artists, and that looks highly likely to reach eight next year, with Carpenter and Roan the two frontrunners in the market.

Carpenter heads the market as a 2/1 favourite for now, while Roan, who has new artist form after scooping Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs in September, isn't far behind at 9/4.

However, Roan and Carpenter will face stiff competition from the likes of Benson Boone (5/2) and Teddy Swims (3/1) in what looks set to be a tight category.
