Delaware Sets Records for Online Casino Handle and Revenue in July

Delaware online gaming set records for both handle and revenue in July, continuing a banner year in the state.

The exact total handle (amount wagered) of $39,388,861 was up 12.7% from June’s $34,962,903. It also set a state record of $37,410,056 for Delaware online gambling numbers for March 2022.

And the revenue from iGaming in July hit $1.25 million, another first in state history, according to figures posted by the Delaware Lottery.

The top five handles all-time in Delaware have happened in the past eight months. Rounding out the top five are April ($37.21 million), December 2021 ($35.53 million) and June ($34.96 million).

Delaware Park in Wilmington led the state’s three casinos with $16.76 million in handle for July, followed by Bally’s Dover with $12.87 million and Harrington Raceway & Casino at $9.76 million.

Popular options such as online roulette, blackjack and poker helped Delaware set these records.

Delaware iGaming Revenue Also a Record

The state’s three akfxoqsd.shopbined for iGaming revenue of $1,253,607, a 12.0% increase from the previous month’s $1,119,019.

That July total was nearly $32,000 more than the previous record of $1,221,890 in April.

Similar to handle, the top figures for iGaming revenue in Delaware have been fairly recent. The May 2020 total of $1,134,900 stood as the record for nearly two years, until it was broken in April. Rounding out the top five are two months from 2022: January ($1.121 million) and June ($1.119 million).

Delaware is one of the six states offering the best US online casinos. The others are West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Sports betting in Delaware hit the slow time of year, as has every other state with the NFL and college football waiting in the wings for the season to begin.

The July total handle was $2,678,686, down 23.6% from the $3.5 million reported for Delaware sports betting numbers in June.

But the sports betting revenue in Delaware rose 80.8%, from $211,921 in June to $383,249 last month.

Delaware is set to expand its wagering options as it does each football season. Parlay cards are offered at more than 100 lottery outlets statewide, but only during football season. Otherwise, the state relies solely on betting at the three retail outlets because there is no mobile sports betting in The First State.
