Sic Bo Review

Dice games are simple yet highly engaging, and Sic Bo by Ezugi is proof. I’ve heard about the online casino game for some time but haven’t tried it out yet. Eventually, I loaded it up at an online casino and placed bets on multiple rounds. So, I’ll share my honest review of the game.

First off, Ezugi is a provider known for creating some of the best casino live games. Hence, I had high hopes when I first launched Sic Bo. The game met my expectations to a large extent, but there’s still little room for improvement. Continue reading as I break it all down.

Sic Bo Game Design

Initially, the Sic Bo design and interface can be pretty overwhelming. I enjoyed watching the game load with the picture of a smiling female dealer. But when it got to the main interface, there was a large betting table covering more than half the screen. The video feed was much smaller. However, the design was that way since it was betting time.

After the dealer collected all the wagers, the table shrank to the right size, and the video became much larger. Ezugi sticks to an overall red theme with its Sic Bo game. Almost everything is red – the background curtains, betting table, dice, and even the dealer’s clothes. The only non-red colors were inside the cylinder containing the dice and the table stand.

In my opinion, the theme may work for many players, but some others might find it too bold. That aside, I was impressed by the transparent, automated dice shaker. It features the three dice and automatically shakes them at the start of each new betting round. The important fact here is the dealer doesn’t handle the dice at all. It’s the provider’s approach to ensuring fairness and randomness.

The shaker is clear enough to see the outcome of the three dice after each shake. However, Ezugi still designed the game to feature a digital 2D display of the dice and the total count. During my first round, the dice showed 3, 5, and 6, respectively, and BIG – 14 popped up on my screen. So, things are pretty straightforward, and the design makes the game easy to follow.

How to Play Sic Bo Online

The Sic Bo online is a lot simpler to play compared to other live casino dice games like craps. When I launched the game, the dealer was almost done collecting bets. As a result, I had to wait for the next round. Ezugi programmed the Sic Bo game to be pretty fast, so it wasn’t up to a minute before the dealer called for bets again.

Notably, the betting window is only about 15 seconds. So, quickly, I placed my bets by clicking on and placing chips on the virtual betting board. The bet types are well-separated to avoid confusion, and I went for a straightforward wager with Even at the top. I love that each bet type’s different odds and potential payouts are clearly displayed on the screen.

Once the 15 seconds is over, the dealer activates the automated dice container. The three dice inside are shaken quite vigorously before coming to a stop. When the dice settle, the dealer announces the outcome. Also, the winning bets get highlighted on the screen.

I won my first bet as the result was 14, and I had wagered chips on Even. Instantly, my account balance was updated with the winnings. At that point, I could place new bets for the next round or adjust my strategy based on the results. That’s how easy Sic Bo is to play.

Sic Bo Bet Information

Whether you’re a casual player or a high roller, Sic Bo by Ezugi is one game that’ll match your budget. To place bets, I got seven chip values, including 0.20, 1, 5, 20, 50, 100, and 500. That’s a pretty wide and accommodating range. However, the overall $0.20 to $20,000 bet limit is even more impressive.

What are the different bet types on Ezugi's Sic Bo? When I checked the game’s information section, I found eight in total. I eventually tried out each so I could deliver a comprehensive review, and I’ve explained them below:

  1. Small/Big Bets: These are more or less the simplest. When I bet on Big, I predict the total of the three dice to be between 11 and 17. Meanwhile, Small means betting on a total between 4 and 10. Both options exclude triples, and the payout is 1:1.
  2. Odd/Even Bets: This option is also easy to grab. With Odd/Even bets, the wager is on whether the total sum of the three dice will be an odd or even number. Like Small/Big, the payout is 1:1, and triples don’t count.
  3. Total: In a Total bet, the aim is to predict the exact sum of the three dice. The betting layout offers various totals ranging from 4 to 17 (3 and 18 are excluded), and the payout varies depending on the number.
  4. Single: As you’d expect, this has to do with betting on a specific number, ranging from 1 to 6. While playing Sic Bo, I was able to bet on Single for one, two, or all three dice. If only one dice wins, the payout is 1:1. Meanwhile, two pays out 2:1, and three is a much higher 12:1.
  5. Double: To win this bet, you must successfully predict a specific number to appear on at least two of the three dice. This bet offers increased odds with an 11:1 payout.
  6. Triple: Here’s a more challenging bet where you wager on a specific number appearing on all three dice — three 4s, for example. I’m yet to win a Triple, and I don’t recommend going for it if you’re a beginner. To put its difficulty into perspective, the payout is a huge 180:1.
  7. Any Triple Bet: This is similar to the previous, and the only difference is that you’re not picking a particular number. Instead, you win with any number appearing on all three dice, making things much safer. The payout is still good at 30:1.
  8. Combination: I recommend this option if you want to bet with more strategy. It requires choosing a specific pair of numbers that’ll appear on two of the three dice. For example, I might bet on the combination of 2 and 5. If both numbers appear on any two of the three dice, I win. The payout for Combination Bets is 5:1, which is quite favorable.

Sic Bo Bonus Features

While playing Sic Bo by Ezugi, I didn’t get bonus features like other top live casino games or online slots. Nevertheless, it isn’t a deal breaker since the main gameplay is exciting enough. Plus, I must mention some additional features that amplified the fun: Statistics and Chat. Check them out below:

Statistics

In this section, you’ll find Roadmap and Last Rounds. The latter is straightforward, as it simply features the results of the previous betting rounds. But I must applaud the extent, as it displays up to the last 500 rounds.

The roadmap is a statistical feature that needs particular emphasis. It narrows down on the past results for the even-money bets: Small/Big and Odds/Even. Since I place more of these bets, I find the feature helpful. It’s easy to read, too, and I regularly use the insights to adjust my strategy from time to time.

Chat

This is a real-time chat for all players, and you can access it from the main menu. Sic Bo by Ezugi is a relatively popular casino game. So, each time I load the chat, there are always frequent messages from players across different casinos. In my opinion, it adds a community touch and allows you to learn from others.

My Experience Playing Sic Bo Live

My live sessions with the Sic Bo game online were fun since the game is pretty simple. The betting table was large and clear enough, so there were no mistakes in placing chips. Plus, the video and sound quality was top-notch.

However, I think the casino game isn’t as interactive as others I’ve played. The main reason is that the dealer isn’t involved much. There’s an automated shaker; all the dealer does is turn it on, and the outcome shows up in seconds. Then, he announces the result.

Throughout the sessions, the dealer was seated behind the table and didn’t come close to the container for the most part. So, while the gameplay was straightforward and uncomplicated, I’d have preferred if the dealer engaged more.

My Experience Playing Sic Bo for Real Money

I rate Sic Bo as a live casino game you can enjoy using the best casino apps or mobile sites on your smartphone. When I loaded it on my iPhone, there wasn’t any glitch. However, the betting table was at the bottom of the screen. Like on the desktop, it almost covered the entire display when it was time to place bets. After that, it becomes smaller.

Impressively, Sic Bo runs smoothly on mobile in both portrait and landscape mode. If you switch to landscape, you get the exact layout as the desktop site version.

Sic Bo Review Summary

Ezugi describes live Sic Bo as an exciting dice game with a simple concept. After playing it firsthand, I entirely agree. The design and overall approach avoid complexities, but it’s still cool that there are multiple bet types.

I’m particularly a big fan of the fast gameplay, as I don’t fancy table games that take lots of time to settle wins. Also, I must applaud the highly accommodating betting limit, ranging from a low $0.20 to a high $20,000. Not many table games I’ve played can boast of such.

The main drawback is that the dealer doesn’t do much besides turning on the shaker and calling out the results. Nevertheless, it’s expected for a simple game. Ultimately, if you want to enjoy live dice gaming sessions at a real money casino online without many distractions, Sic Bo by Ezugi is a top pick.
